LABRUM: JOURNEYS OF TRIUMPH
Founded in 2014, LABRUM London is a modern-day menswear brand telling the untold stories of West Africa to help bridge the gap between western and West African culture.
The word LABRUM is a latin term for ‘having an edge’, and this sits at the heart of the brand’s mission – to make honest, practical clothing rooted in simplicity, fit and a passion for detail.
Driven by a desire to create looks that are wearable yet idiosyncratic, and inspired by a lifetime of travel, exploration and pilgrimage. LABRUM London delivers innovative garments with an uncompromising commitment to quality and design.
FOR SS2025 LABRUM shut down the off-season stadium under the British sunshine, enlisting local players to walk the runway. UK grime rapper and MC Ghetts opened the runway to an intimate group sat on red-tinted side seating, showcasing LABRUM in a modern light with a militaristic co-ord featuring raised paneling and branded drawstrings. Arsenal defensive midfielder Declan Rice dominated the field in the second look, elevating LABRUM’s signature suiting with crossed ribbon details replacing traditional button closures.
Embroidered menswear stormed the pitch with cargo-style shorts, while traditional headgear dangled to the knees with ruling energy. Abstract figures stood firm on slim-fit button-downs, followed by patched tops with clawed ornamentation worn by British talent Michael Dapaah. LABRUM upcycled pre-released Arsenal kits to create a fully-fledged bodysuit with promotional “VISIT RAWANDA” branding, completing the collection with embellished gowns, passport stamp-printed suiting, and multi-colored monarch uniforms.
The hair paid tribute to the wonderful culture of Labrum through respectfully curated and intricately crafted looks.
MARQUES ALMEIDA
The slightly gothic experience of getting into Marques’ Almeida’s show turned out to be a serendipitous scene-setter for the clothes. Back in London for the first time since the pandemic, Marta Marques and Paolo Almeida returned with a fresh infusion of renaissance shapes and baroque floral brocades.
The hair shapes respected the natural texture of the individual to complement the baroque style seen in the runway 💖
SABIRAH
SABIRAH's SS25 collection, ‘Lovingly Modest,’ showcased during London Fashion Week on Friday, September 13th at Lancaster Gate, felt like a runway love story.
Through elegant outfits, vibrant pops of colour, and an emotional tone, designer and creative director Deborah Latouche effortlessly blended a theme of love into each piece, creating a collection that was both visually stunning and deeply symbolic.
From the moment the first model stepped onto the runway, it was clear that love inspired the collection. The background music, Nat King Cole’s “LOVE,” set a nostalgic, heartfelt tone. The models’ graceful walk, like a bride walking down the aisle, perfectly matched the theme of love and allowed the audience to fully appreciate each detail.
Nick Irwin, Schwarzkopf’s global ambassador, and his team aimed to bring a couture touch to the runway. As he shared in a Schwarzkopf Instagram story, “Hair this season is really special.” He explained that the inspiration focused on sensory themes of empathy and unity. The collection is about storytelling as much as style, with each look expressing different types of love through soft fabrics, bold makeup and the walk of the models.
